The new year is here, and there’s no better time to create a strategy to meet your 2023 goals. Between app updates, trends that are constantly changing, and how heavily social media is saturated with amazing creators, it can be challenging to figure out how to start stepping up your content.
Whether you’re a small business owner hoping to reach more consumers, or a micro influencer with aspirations to become a full-time creator, here are five social media tools that we swear by to help you start, manage, and grow your social media accounts.
1. Schedule your content using Later
A day in the life of a content creator can get pretty hectic; between keeping up with ever-changing trends, filming and editing videos and videos, and remembering to post on a consistent schedule, it’s easy to get overwhelmed with everything there is to do. Take one task off of your plate by bulk scheduling your content for the weeks or months ahead using Later.
Later allows you to schedule posts on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok, and they have recently added a feature that allows you to schedule Reels! Scheduling your content in advance allows you to free up some mental space so you can focus on other things, and it may be a way to keep yourself accountable to post consistently.
2. Step up your design game with Figma
While there are plenty of free design tools that you can use to create social content, Figma is our tried and true design tool of choice. While Canva may be easier to use for beginners, Figma offers more creative control without having to pay a premium, plus you’ll still have access to design templates to make your life a little easier.
If you work with a team, this platform allows you to collaborate with other team members and share projects, and we love that there are a plethora of design tutorials available on YouTube.
3. View content insights through Buzzsumo
To gain insights on trending content, we recommend using Buzzsumo, a platform that boasts four key components: discovery, research, influencers, and monitoring. Using these features, you’ll be able to better tailor your content to fit your audience, as well as analyze its performance. If you’re just starting out, you may be able to get away with using the free version which allows 10 searches per month and up to one year of data, but if you’re looking for more you may enjoy using one of Buzzsumo’s paid plans.
4. Edit viral worthy TikTok and Reel content on CapCut
If you’re in the creator space at all you know that it is now recommended to post video content EVERY DAY. We don’t know about you, but that’s a ton of content to edit. While you can edit directly in the Instagram or TikTok apps, it’s easier to get precise timing and more professional looking videos using an actual editing platform like Final Cut Pro or CapCut. Not only is CapCut free to use, you get access to features like text-to-speech, auto captions, and safe data storage.
5. Manage your work-week with Monday.com
Now that you have your posts automated through Later and you’re creating great content using Figma and CapCut, you may want to take a look at how much time you’re dedicating to project management. There are dozens of platforms that you can use to help you manage your daily tasks such as Google Calendars, Trello, and Todoist, but we recommend using Monday.com.
Monday is a platform that allows customers to create software applications and work management tools; some of the platform’s building blocks include items, columns, views, automations, integrations, and widgets. As a bonus, the platform is versatile and can even be used with team members!
