Life stuff:
What do you do at RMG: I’m the finance and accounting partner, so I manage our bookkeeping and financial records, prepare monthly financial reports, oversee accounts payable and receivable, run payroll, and manage tax preparation and compliance with our CPA. On the strategic side, I help set financial KPIs, manage cash flow, and forecast revenue and expenses so the company remains financially healthy.
Favorite thing about your job: I love the team. It’s a really fun work environment. Definitely less stuffy than previous jobs I’ve had.
What was your first job: I was a bus boy at a small restaurant in Golden, Colorado.
In elementary school, what did you want to be when you grew up: An accountant. I guess I’m not too far off.
What is your earliest memory: Going to Rockies games with my dad.
What is a fun or interesting thing about your hometown: I grew up in Golden Colorado which is home to Coors brewery. It’s the largest single-site brewery in the world.
What’s your favorite family tradition: I love getting everyone together for Christmas every year. My kids are grown and spread out across the U.S., but each year they all come home for Christmas with their spouses and kids. It’s the highlight of my year.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be: Steak and eggs.
What’s your go-to Starbucks order: Iced coffee. I’m boring.

Hobbies & travel stuff:
What are your hobbies: I like to cycle, and try to go on a few cycling trips a year. I like to stay active and be outside. I go to Stagecoach every year with my wife and we like going to concerts and events throughout the year.
What is the nerdiest thing you do in your spare time: I’ve been deep diving into movies and am making my way through the Criterion Collection.
Can you play any instruments: Guitar.
Do you collect anything: Fountain pens and first edition books. My favorite author is Bret Easton Ellis, so I have all his books in first edition. I’m hoping to now start tracking down signed books next.
What are the last three books you read: Blood Meridian,The Intelligent Investor, The Power of Habit.
Most recent vacation: My wife and I went to the Bahamas to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary.
What’s your favorite city/state/country you’ve ever visited: I can’t pick just one. I love to travel and every place I’ve been has something unique to offer.
If you could have dinner with one person, alive or dead, who would it be: Kurt Cobain.

Have you ever met anyone famous: I met Lance Armstrong once at a cycling event.
If you could pick up a new skill in an instant, what would it be: I would love to be able to speak a lot of different languages.
If you could choose one age to be forever, what would it be: Every age has had its good moments and bad moments. Age is just a number.
What characteristic do you like most about yourself: I like that I am detail oriented and follow through on things.
