RB2B: What It Is and How We Use It

RB2B (Retention.com) is a business intelligence tool that helps us identify:

  • U.S.-based individuals who visit our website, using a combination of IP geofencing and cookie/device identifiers.

  • Global companies (firmographic-level only) via Demandbase integration, with no personal-level detail outside the U.S.

RB2B services are activated only when a visitor is confirmed to be located in the U.S. Person-level identification does not occur for visitors outside of the U.S., in compliance with GDPR. https://support.rb2b.com/en/

We use RB2B to route identified visitors into our CRM or internal tools such as Slack to alert sales and marketing workflows when website visitors match known profiles.

Information We Collect

A. From Your Interaction with Our Site:

  • Name, email address, phone number, social media handles, gender

  • Website comments and metadata

  • Cookies and tracking devices, IP address, browser type, user agent

B. From RB2B (via Retention.com):

  • Person-level identification for confirmed U.S. visitors (based on IP geolocation)

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide marketing communications, advertisements, and service updates

  • To personalize advertising based on site behavior and firmographic matches

  • We use IP-based geofencing to determine U.S. origin before resolving person-level identities

  • Global company-level matching occurs without the collection of personal identifiers outside the U.S.

Data Sharing

We do not share personal information without your consent, except:

  • To analytics or processing providers

  • To achieve legal compliance or respond to legal requests

  • In the event of a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition

RB2B leads or firmographic data are shared only internally (e.g., with our CRM or Slack). RB2B itself does not resell your data.

Data Retention

  • Active Data: Retained while your account or engagement is live

  • Inactive Data: Deleted 90 days to 2 years after inactivity, or per legal/legitimate retention needs

  • Anonymous or aggregated data retained indefinitely for analytics

Security

We implement reasonable physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect your data. However, no system is perfectly secure—you use our services at your own risk.

Legal Compliance

  • GDPR: RB2B operations respect GDPR by limiting person-level identification strictly to confirmed U.S. visitors. Company-level ID for international visitors does not include personal data and is opt-out enabled.

  • CCPA/CPRA & other U.S. state laws: RB2B supports “Do Not Sell or Share My Info” functionality, and retains registration as a data broker in multiple states. If these laws apply to you, we comply via notice and opt-out.
